This website will not be updated until the end of the project. It was useful when my supervisor was in China. Now she is back, this website becomes pointless as it requires too much time to be kept up to date. Anyway notice that I will add the several deliverables I submitted this year at the end of the project.
I am Nicolas Greffard, currently studying a Bsc honors in computer science at Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland). The purpose of this website is to present the project I am working on this year (2007/2008). You can for instance follow my progress step by step by clicking on the "project" menu item and read the different reports I make or see how I planned my work with the "planning" menu item. I am going to add other materials and contents through the year. Anyway, here is the project description : Creating stories: The research project eCIRCUS has produced a framework within which intelligent graphical characters can be defined. It is currently used for an anti-bulliyng application but in principle could be used for a different type of story. The idea of this project is to try to define some characters from a well-known classic novel (Jane Austen for example) and see if a scene from the novel can be played out. My supervisor during this assignement is Ruth Aylett. |
